CERTIFICATION & TRAINING

Before you hire a Qualified Inspector ask about the training they have. Ask if they have any meth lab assessment and decontamination training. OSHA hazwoper training does not cover how to properly clean a meth lab. Many Qualified Inspectors do NOT do the cleaning themselves, but hire subcontractors to do the work for them. Always get a second or third written quote. Using a subcontractor can increase the cost. Ask them if they charge to re-clean the structure if the post-test results from the lab show the decontamination was unsuccessful to meet the state threshold levels.
