Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)— An ex-felon was arrested last night, Feb. 4, 2012, after firing a gun in a parked car at 9507 Western Sikes Dr.

Steffanie Kidder, 41, called 911 around 10:00 p.m. last night and hung up after telling the emergency operator that there were people trying to hurt her.

When Officers arrived they found Kidder, who admitted to using methamphetamine and appeared to be delusional. Kidder told Police she was afraid of several imaginary people that were trying to hurt her and that she had shot at them.

After further investigation Police found out that after smoking methamphetamine, Kidder armed herself with a .22 rifle. Kidder fired several rounds from inside of a parked van in an attempt to shoot the imaginary people from her delusion.

Kidder was arrested without incident and there are no reported injuries at this time.

Kidder is an ex-felon and was charged for possession of a firearm, discharge of a firearm from inside a vehicle, possession of a firearm while intoxicated and discharge of a firearm in public.
